William and Kate Opt out of the Typical Wedding Registry!
When most typical brides and grooms are faced with the decision of where to register for gifts, the choice is usually more along the lines of: Crate and Barrel or Pottery Barn? But for the royal couple that has everything, Prince William and bride-to-be Kate Middleton decided to forgo the typical wedding registry for a more giving alternative.
These two lovebirds decided to create the Royal Wedding Charity Fund, which allows people to send donations to 26 of the couple’s favorite charities. Since the two have already spent time working together for many charities to raise money and awareness for various causes, especially for children, charitable work is clearly something that is very close to their hearts.
Their choice of charities is primarily centered on those within UK, including Changing Lives through Arts and Sport, and Help and Care at Home. What is so great about their charity fund is that anyone can donate, whether they are on the exclusive guest or not.
And for all our upcoming brides out there who are thinking of having an alternative wedding – maybe setting up your own charity donation fund instead of the usual registry would be the perfect way for the two of you to start your lives together by giving to others!
If you would like to share your best wishes for the happy couple, a donation can be made through their website www.royalweddingcharityfund.org which includes a full list of the charities, that were personally chosen by Prince William and Miss Middleton.
